Maurene and I enjoyed a rather subdued Thanksgiving this year. It is the first day of the Bath Christmas Market and I am debating whether to go down to see the lighting of the Christmas tree in front of the Abbey. It is rainy and so I might forget it. But, my path to the Christmas tree passes by the famous (infamous) Weston. I could find some shelter there, if necessary. Yes, the turkey was delicious. The pie was exquisite.

A beautiful looking bird! It seems as if I can smell it! Oh, wait, I'm smelling ours (still in the oven). I hope you made the right decision: to set out to see the lighting of the Christmas tree, think better of it as you pass the Weston, and duck in for a pint of Fosters. Maybe two.
I didn't go to the tree lighting, but Maurene and I did journey to the Weston and enjoyed a Fosters. Walking up the steep hill in the car park is good for Maurene's recuperation. We also filled the staff in on our distinctive American holiday. Please note that I added pie.
Pie duly noted. It looks delicious. Please save me a slice!
Did you have a houseful of guests or do you just like turkey sandwiches? That bird is HUGE!!!
Actually, it is a camera trick -wide angle lens. Maurene says that we were expecting you and Andrew but you didn't show up. She also says she misses you.
